Watched for the first time: Dragon Ball : Tournament Arc - Second Arc

Hello everyone, I hope y’all are doing great.

This is the second part of "Watched for the first time: Dragon Ball". In this blog, I am going to share my experience with the second arc of the series titled "Tournament Arc".

Before proceeding with the blog, requesting all of you to follow us on facebook @thenerdydude as well as our telegram channel @thenerdydudeblogger to stay updated with our blogs.

Now, let's begin with our blog.

At the end of the last arc, Goku left towards Muten Roshi's place to train under him in order to become stronger. Initially Muten Roshi refuses to accept Goku as his pupil, however he then gives him some weird trials that Goku didn't understand. Later they are  joined by a young monk named Kuririn with the help of whom Muten Roshi gets convinced to accept Goku and Kuririn as his students. They are also joined by a woman named Lunch who has dual personality disorder(with a blue hair kind and a yellow hair violent personality). Initially Goku and Kuririn are like rivals however eventually they also become best friends. The two of the trains together under Muten Rohi and become much stronger. Muten Roshi's training style was not teaching any specific style, but just a process of making their body much stronger. After months of training, Goku and Kuririn enter the 21st Tenkaichi Tournament where they are joined by Yamucha who is also participating in the tournament. Yamucha came with his now girlfriend Bulma along with Pu'ar and Oolong. Muten Roshi also enters the tournament(disguising himself and using the name Jackie Chun). Goku, Kuririn, Yamucha and Jackie Chun all reach the quarter finals of the tournament. At the end, Goku and Jackie Chun faces off against each other in  the finals. Goku's strength overwhelms Jackie, however later Jackie gains an upper hand when he uses an electric attack. During the quarter-finals, Goku regained his tail and during the finals, the fight was so long that the moon came out before the end of the match, a full moon. While getting electrocuted by Jackie's attack, Goku accidentally saw the full moon and  transformed into "The Great Ape". In order  to stop Goku from transforming ever again, Jackie Chun destroys the moon itself, transforming Goku back. Later the match continues and Jackie takes advantage of the difference between their height to defeat Goku, becoming the champion of the 21st Tenkaichi tournament. At the end of the arc, Goku leaves with Bulma's Dragon Radar in search of his Grandfather's Dragon Ball.

Over all, it was an amazing arc, I really enjoyed it. I usually enjoy the tournament based arcs of the anime series so it was a really exciting arc for me. I often heard that Rock Lee's training with weight was same as  that of Goku's training under Muten Roshi. While it does seemed to be inspired from Muten Roshi's training, Rock Lee did wore the weights most of the time. They are similar but not same. Anyways, Goku did sort of mastered the Kamehameha technique that he has shown to have been able to use in the last arc itself inspired by Muten Roshi's Kamehameha in the last arc. Goku vs Jackie Chun was pretty long and exciting one. Kuririn showed how strong he has become which was exciting too. Overall, I gave this arc 8.75 on 10.
